Don Berry of Edinburgh USA, playing in his first event as a senior, won the Minnesota Senior Open Championship at Edina Country Club June 4-5 by one shot over Joe Stansberry, representing the European Senior Tour. Berry finished the tournament at 3-under par 141 to edge Stansberry, the first round leader, by one shot. Finishing third at 2-over par 146 was professional John Robinson of Chaska Town Course.

Low amateur honors went to Pat Vincelli of Bracketts Crossing CC, who finished at 8-over par 152. The Minnesota Senior Open Championship was presented by Bushnell.
